Position Overview:
The Baker & Pastry Assistant will support bakery and pastry operations, preparing a wide variety of baked goods and assisting with dessert production for catered events. This role is part-time, primarily during first-shift hours, and includes one weekend shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and desserts in accordance with recipes and portion guidelines
- Assist pastry chef with event and catering orders
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen workspace
- Support with inventory, stocking, and ingredient preparation
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications:
- Prior baking or kitchen experience required; minimum of 5 years preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes and directions precisely
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working early morning shifts
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Flexible and available to work weekends as needed
