Pranzi Catering & Events is the largest full-scale, high-volume, and upscale catering organization in the state. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Catering Chef to join our growing team. Position Overview:
The Catering Chef will work under the direction of the Executive Chef, performing production work at our commissary as well as participating in off-site event setup, service, and breakdown. The role primarily involves morning and daytime hours, with some evenings and weekends required during peak season (May–October).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food production, preparation, and event execution.
- Participate in off-site delivery setup, service, and breakdown.
- Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines and standards.
- Support and maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
- Full availability, especially weekends during peak season (May–October).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Current ServSafe Certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary experience; management experience preferred.
- Culinary or Food Service Management degree preferred.
- Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong organizational and logistical thinking skills.
- Ability and willingness to lift and move items regularly.
