Catering Services

Pranzi is a full service caterer

We are one of a few select caterers in the State of Rhode Island that is fully licensed as a Class P Caterer, which means that we can assist you with food services as well as all beverage services. Our talented staff can supply all of your event planning needs, including assistance with vendors, rentals, staffing and, of course, menu planning.

Final Count

One week prior to an event, a final count will be required. This is the minimum number of guests for which you will be billed. No decrease in guest count will be taken after this point. You may increase your count up to 48 hours prior to the event. We are always able to accommodate unexpected guests, you will be billed accordingly.

A $200.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a function date. Payment in full is required the day of the function. All deposits are applied to the final invoice.

72 hours notice of cancellation would be appreciated.

Pranzi Catering firmly believes the first single most important decision you will make is selecting a caterer. While weddings and special events are at the heart of our business, our food is exquiste.

Whether for a gathering of friends or a more formal affair, Pranzi Catering will make your occasion spectacular! With over 20 years of event planning experience in New England, our professional staff will work with you to create a memorable event and will be with you throughout every step of the planning process.

Our Event Planners will enthusiastically welcome you after your arrival to the venue/location and will be the last one you see when you depart. Our staff ensure that every detail of your event goes off without a glich, a seamless execution of events. Not only do our Event Planners cue the ceremony, they also coordinate timing with your photographers and entertainment professionals and keep our culinary team on schedule. Often working behind the scenes, the Event Planner act as a liaison between you, your guests, and our staff. When your event exceeds your finest expectations, it's our Event Planner who made it happen!

Seating / Serving Styles

Seated Meal

At a seated meal, guests are seated and served by a waitstaff at tables pre-assigned by you. This style is the most traditional and typically the most formal. The types of sit-down services include: 1. plated service - where the full meal is pre-arranged on individual plates before served to guests; 2. Russian service - where wait staff serve courses from platters onto plates already on the table; 3. French service - where two waiters serve guests from the platter, one holding the platter and the other serving.

Buffet

At a buffet, guests select their food from either one long table or stations strategically placed throughout the room. (think pasta station, seafood station, Chinese wok station) An advantage is that you can serve a varied menu from which guests can choose what they like. Having a buffet-style meal does not mean that you have to sacrifice sophistication. A buffet can be formal when served by stylish wait-staff or more relaxed with self-serve stations.

Heavy Hor D’oeurves / Finger Food Reception

At this style of reception, there is no full meal. Instead waiters circulate the room, offering trays of hors d’oeuvres to standing guests. This style of service is ideal for a cocktail reception, which is often a shorter duration than a full reception.

Event Rentals

Whether you are planning an at-home wedding, decorating and empty space, or just looking for special supplies that your venue site does not provide, Pranzi Catering can assit you. Specialty linens, china, glassware, tables, chairs, and flatware available upon request.Our rental equipment have a vast array of styles, colors, and sizes to choose from. Our catering department acts as a sort of general contractor, procuring the rentals and setting up the reception space on the client's behalf. And when it comes time to order supplies, we will know just how many of prosaic items such as work tables and trash cans you will need.

Tenting

If you are thinking about having a tent at your special event, ask our sales staff to assit you with finding one that will compliment your event. Our team will carry you through the process of working with you to find which permits and notices are required to put up a tent at the site. Besides choosing a tent, we will guide you trough the floor plan and arrange any other equipment such as flooring, heaters, and conditioners needed for the event.

Lounge Area

Includes two sofa's, four chairs, coffee tables, two end tables, rug and decor. Special lighting or lanterns at an additional fee. Please ask our sales department for addtional information and pictures.

Staffing

Staff Service available at varying rates per person, per hour. A four (4) hour minimum and (2) staff members is required for all events that require staffing. Travel time is added on to events.

Bar Services/Features

We pride ourselves on a highly trained staff of courteous, knowledgeable bartending professionals who stay focused on your needs.

Beer & Wine

Offering domestic and imported beers as well as specialty wine as the only alcoholic option is cost-effective. This will also include all fruit, glassware, non-alcoholic beverages and ice. To add options, include a signature cocktail such as a Mojito or a spiced apple cider drink to serve your guests.

Cash Bar Set-Up

This includes all glassware, ice, galvanized buckets, fruit and mixers.

Bronze Package

Budget conscious, consider a small assortment at the bar. This package offers Smirnoff Vodka, Tanqueray Gin, Dewars Scotch, Bacardi Rum, VO Whiskey, Jim Bean Bourbon, Bud, Bud Light, Corona Beers and Yellow Tail Wines. Also includes all mixers, fruit, glassware, non-alcoholic beverages and ice.

Silver Beverage Package

Variety is the spice of life. Spice up any event with these assortments. Absolut Vodka, Raspberry Stoli, Captain Morgan, Jack Daniels, Parrot Bay Rum, Baccardi Rum, Dewars Scotch, Canadian Club Whiskey, Tanqueray Gin, Southern Comfort, Kahlua, Bailey, Heineken, Coors, Coors Light, Columbia Crest Chardonnay, Merlot. Includes all mixers, fruit, glassware, non-alcoholic beverages, and ice.

Gold Beverage Package

A special day deserves the best. Offer your guests exceptional variety of selections at the bar. This package entails Gray Goose Vodka, Sky Vodka, Raspberry Stoli, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Glenlivet Scotch, Mopunt Gay Rum, Southern Comfort, Jack Daniels, Captain Morgan, Makers Mark Bourbon, Malibu Rum, Jose Cuervo Tequila, Crown Royal Whiskey, Kahlua, Bailey, Grand Marnier, Imported and Domestic Beer, Liberty School Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon. Includes all mixers, fruit, glassware, non-alcoholic beverages, and ice.
